The Beauty of You

I'm giving in and laying down
Your soul the sky, your love the earth,
Your skin the grass between my fingers
That gently teases, cools and lingers.

It's tempting me to close my eyes
And feel the softness of your touch.
Its tracing whispers haunting me
In my dreams, so quietly.

What is perfection, if not you,
In all your flawed, yet flawless beauty?
Those eyes accelerate my heart,
Those lips move like a piece of art.

When your strong shoulders carry me
Across the meadow of my fears,
I sense the safety of this place:
The tenderness of your embrace.

You're just one woman among billions,
So what makes you stand out to me?
The knowledge that I have been blessed,
For you're more woman than the rest.
